Throttle Cable Conversion for 66 Autolite 1100

I ran into clearance issues with my original throttle linkage when I installed headers on my 66 200. I'm using https://www.vintage-mustang.com/threads ... ep.975201/ as a guide and have collected all of the parts necessary to complete the conversion except for the cable bracket. Has anyone found a cable bracket that will work on the 66 1100 or are the only options upgrading the carb or stick with the original linkage?

not sure ur specific Q.
R U looking for something like this?
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly- ... gLsw_D_BwE

Is this a "last inch" Q? Lots of different threads accessible by the "search function" above so
work-a-rounds for each application. Sometimes a simply "L" bracket and some off the shelf throttle springs.
If none come to mind there's commercial solutions such as above or:
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_sy ... d_linkage/

sometimes a look at our threads reminds 1 ofa scrap in the corner pile or a solution frm the manufacturers... The
really luck guys (in my mind) have a junk yrd they can walk & come up w/an oem outta another vehicle.
Let us know how U do, more specifics~

I have the stock bracket and link. I thought I may use it at some point, but now that's not going to happen. I'm willing to sell it. PM me.

In order to use the bracket the head has to have the mounting holes for it in the aft log on the side. All lrg log heads have this mount, I'm not sure small log heads do.

Econoline, thanks for the pics. The throttle lever on my carb gets pushed up when accelerating and is down at idle. Most of the other carbs I have seen are either front to back or left to right. The diagram in the middle looks like it might get me there. Am I interpreting that correctly?

Yes, it pushes the link up when the throttle cable is pulled. According to the diagram above the 200 needs a straight link, this one came off a 250 so it has a bent link. So you may need a different link, or maybe the link you already have will work if the bent one doesn't. It has a ball connection for the link and for the throttle cable. There is also a cable link attached to it for the C4 kickdown bracket at the bottom of the diagram.

You have some info in ur sig.
Is it an auto transmis?

there is also an 'over the valve cover bracket oem...

Any pic of where U R at right now can help us help U...

It's a manual, 3-Spd on the floor. I did not find the thread you linked to when I was researching this so I need to read that a bit more. The linkage/bracket they show looks like the one I'm getting from Econoline. I dont have the rear holes for mounting that the 250 has but I'm hoping I can figure something out. Here is a pick of what I have now with the arm sitting on the header.

For the 1969 Ford Mustang 250 carb linkage

The throttle linkage and kickdown rod on early 69-70 Ford small sixes with the 250 carb before the RBS had the 9728 bracket as a throttle bracket.

When EGR was introduced, the whole actuation changed, but the part continuted to be mounted to the same two bolts at the rear exhaust manifold plane of the head.

Note the following

I'm certain there are high resolution pictures of bracket BPN 9728.

Just can't find em.

1969-1983 200/3.3 or 1969-1980 250/4.1 is whacha whacha whachawant...

Every C9 onwards head till E0 had the two bolt hole boss cast into the back part of the head, some early ones weren't drilled.
