A low RPM log head 250 shouldn't need much for an exhaust pipe(s).
The stock valve lift is only .366
Valve lift is limited by the short valves which can cause valve spring bind.

the 2 pipes (v 1) = ⬆︎volume so = need for less diameter

oh, right, I forgot.This is for a drag stang. What is the end HP the car has? will have?
@ 750HP/4 cyl, 2.7/turboed efi motor we use 4 inch/4 ft, no muff.

I admire what you are trying to do, but I would (well intendedly) suggest that 300 Hp for this engine is a lofty number. You can get there - but it will be expensive to do so.

I'm considering a budget turbo build. From what I have read it should double my Hp.

It takes 15 to 17 lbs of boost to double the engines hp.
What are you considering as a budget?

That’s enough to get a set of forged pistons and machine the block to install them.
You would need the following:

Turbocharger
Blow off valve
Waste gate
Turbocharger exhaust manifold
Intake manifold
Intercooler
A blow through carburetor or EFI
High pressure fuel system
Boost referenced fuel pressure regulator
Modify and rebuild the head
There is more but I’m stopping here

Well, I've found some nice budget turbo builds on here that I would use as references. I can probably port out the head myself and I would fabricate the exhaust manifold.

In many cases, a good starting point is to take what you think it will cost, and then double it. At least once.

We just did much of one that way but usually just get in there'n bull our way thru (well, not me, the boss).
