I rebuilt mine back in 99 or 2000 (while we were still on the Clifford forums) and as most of you know I beat the piss out of it!
I started tearing the engine down today (planning on freshining it up) and I noticed this problem with the stock timing chain,
There ia between 3/4"-7/8" of play in the chain as best as I can measure!!
I'm assuming that would affect the timing/cam timing just a bit...
I'm upgrading to a double roller timing chain and gears and I would suggest that if any of you other guys are planning on a "Hi-Po" build up like mine, you should address this problem with a upgraded timing chain setup!
Later,
Doug
