Most Offy 3X1 setups I've seen use the Offy progressive linkage kit which includes fuel distribution lines as well. My setup uses Maverick pedal and over valvecover bracket controlling center carb with Offy linkage following:

Homebrew 3X1 setups I've seen range from synchronous linkage to inventive staged cables.

apprieciate the photos . i have the offy progessive linkage . i am trying to find a pedal and cable throttle combo that i can route to the passenger side and pull similer to the factory set up did except the factory setup only allows part throttle operation. I wanted to find a option other than the maverick over the valve cover setup.

In order to get the factory linkage to work on mine, I had to bend it a bit and open up the hole in the firewall a little more so that the pedal to travel more. I have since picked up a mav pedal and the bracket and will convert to it soon.

thanks for the response. I went to the local u pull it yard today and picked up a gas pedal out of a 72 maverick. then a trip to the auto parts store to get a mr gasket universal throttle cable and bracket. it fits nicely and was easy to install.

if the idea with three carbs is to get even fuel distribution[and more fuel],wouldn't you want all the carbs to open at the same time?

Nope, the idea is to have the car run at light duty off of the center carb and then progressively bring in the others as demand increases-like a four barrel carb. Engine then gets good "normal" driving mpg and then has the extra oomph when needed.

I ended up replacing the original linkage with Lokar's Mustang specific cable throttle pedal (Midnight series) and ran it to a short piece of aluminum "L" stock that I bolted the under side of the Offy adapter's mounting studs (under the log). It put the cable at the perfect height for full motion of the linkage, had just enough clearance of all moving parts and ended up looking really clean. Now,this only worked because I have the offy made for the earlier heads, but I'm sure you can come up w/a mounting point with the later versions.

I will try to post some pics I used a universal throttle cable with the adjustable bracket from mr gasket along with a gas pedal from a 72 maverick. the bracket bolted to the carb stud on the #3 carb. took all of about 30 minutes. at a total cost of $50.00 including the gas pedal.
