Update: 250ci engine needed

You really should have posted this in the "Wanted" section but there's a listing in the "for sale" classifieds.

Looking at the block codes in my Falcon Six handbook, that's a 250 block made for only one year. Might be tough to find...

A 250 is what you need. What transmission do you have?
The 250 was not original to early Bronco.

I have a 3 speed floor shifting Bronco transmission. If I don’t rebuild this one, what would be the least wrench time option?
Yes, thank you to all. It’s a 250ci not a 200.

Finding a 250 in good running condition. They are scarce.
I have a spare 250 in my garage for when I blow this one up.

Are you sure the BLOCK you're needing is 250 ?, 76 Comet GT had this D8DE 200 engine block with a D5DE cylinder head I use for testing.

.
wear ya at? - have two 250 engine blocks in rebuildable' shape. One is a D7DE and other is D2DE. the D2DE block was in my '74 Maverick until replaced with a D7BE 250 block based build (Granada?)

Hi everyone. When my Dad bought the Bronco in about 2011, it had this 250 in it from a previous owner. Today we tore it down to the small block and found that a rod was thrown as well the camshaft being broken and the piston underneath was trashed. I don’t have the money or the know how to rebuild. I live in Charleston SC.

New decision. We’re going to rebuild our existing 250.
Awesome! I am a little needy and will enjoy all the details and pics you can provide throughout the process. Maybe posted in the Bronco section or 144-250 performance section.
