1) No. absolutely impossible on our motors.
vacuum leaks can occur at the flanges between carb-spacer-manifold flange, at the core plugs at each end of the log, at the vacuum connections below the carb or when the log is cracked.
2) all ford small six valve cover gaskets are interchangeable.
FelPro cork valve cover gasket # VS12692
FelPro NBR valve cover gasket # VS12692R
