Hey all,
I was wondering if I could install valve lash caps on my stock 144 head with solid lifters to prevent some of the excessive valve train clatter I am experiencing with .012 valve lash. I have found a few aftermarket products with different thicknesses and diameters, hardened vs. regular, and I don't know the slightest thing about them.
What is the purpose of lash caps, and would they help my situation? I just want a good running, quiet motor. That's all.
