Can somebody give me the stock valve specs for the later version of the 200? I know the last few years they had larger valves or something along those lines.

I pulled the specs up from one of my ford manuals. Can somebody confirm how similar or disimilar to those on a 200?

Howdy back Tim:

It is my belief that OEM valve sizes for Factory stock 200/250 were 1.75" intake face and 1.38" exhaust valve face from late 1969 until production in the USA ended in early 1984. All intake and exhaust valves from 144 ci to 250 ci have a standard stem diameter of 5/16th (0.3100", and a length of 4 17/64th (4.2656").

Several sources have listed a 1.5" exhaust valve, but I don't believe FoMoCo ever did. BUT, remember, we're dealing with FoMoCo, so I never say "Never" or "Always".

Thanx for the info David. Now on to the $64,000 question. Do you think it's possible to say use the SS valves that Mike sells in any possible head work that I do regarding the extra heads I have. Seems the only HSC related spec I'm missing to explore this farther is the stem diamater.
