Hello,
I'm rebuilding a 200 '79block to replace my original 200 '65.
Yesterday i've pulled the head and disassembled the block.
I've cleaned the head and tomorrow it's going to my local machinshop.
My question:
I've inspected the valves and it's like the seats and the guides are one piece cast iron in the head (sorry for my bad english)
I've got the Falcon Performance Handbook, and I thought the seats where hardened in a D8 block. Is it then just surface hardened? Is it usefull to replace it whit fully hardened seats? The guides are also one piece cast iron... replace it whit bronze valveguides?
It's my first rebuilt of an american engine so it's a little bit new...
Tnx.
