I have a 65 200 and I cant seem to find a water pump pulley anyplace, I've lookt in specialty catalogs, tried local stores, junkyards, online searches and I have not yet found anything, the only pulleys I've found r for 8 cyl engines. Does anyone know where I might could find one ?

Your best bet would be to try local Mustang Parts places. Since most people swap in V8's, local parts houses always have them lying around.

Welp, so far I havent found anyone around here anyways that has a WP pulley for 65 200 or any 200 4 that matter.

Say, could u or anyone else please measure the pulley on their 6 cyl, I mean it would be easy to jus measure the back lip to lip so I would have an idea of the diameter of the pulley for gettin the correct speed of the water pump, cause I dont have a pulley at all, its not that I'm replacing a worn out one, I have nothing to go by at all, thanx for any help.

I know Mustang Fever in Santa Clara, CA has some. He has done alot of swaps fo people in the area. You can look up his number in Yahoo yellow pages.

gimme some time, i know where a 70's model maverick is that has a 200 in it, from what i remember, the engine is complete (minus the valve-cover, i got that)
you need anything else?
all i got to do is get out there...

aww crap, i just remembered that it'll be a holiday for most people for the next few days.......
hmmm, either drop me a PM, or just leave a note on this thread letting me know if you want me to check it out

Thanx coupei I will see bout lookin him up, I'm guessin he might ? have a website ...

Thanx asa, it says u r at Andrews AFB, a BIG TY to another of our soldiers : )
U say u know where there is a 70's MAverick, "complete" r u gonna be takin stuff off your neighbors "project" ? ^_~

Graeme is also tryin to check somethin out for me.
U ask if I need anything else, hm, well ... maybe a complete 8" rear end and maybe its accompanying driveshaft, a torque converter WITH the starter ring gear on it, I was told I would be better off gettin a 78 or later head so if u can grab that too, .... can ya get those and bring em by Monday evenin ? I'll "leave the light on for ya", lol But yea, if its not too much trouble would u mind checkin on that pulley ? Thanx

Well, I dint know but the car, a 67 apparently has one of those 7.25 rear ends from what Falcon was saying, some ppl spoke of noises and problems, mine has them, jus turning the wheels by hand and it SEEMS now that I dont have the option to replace gears since its 7.25 : \

Anyhoo, I thought it was a 7.5.
Faclon said the 7.25 was in early Mustang/ Falcons and had a bolted on rear cover as mine does so ...
In order to get a diff rearend, which I'd prefer not to have to do, I think I have to take some measurements and then go looking through junkyards, hopefully not have to replace the axles in it, or gears, seals whatever.
I like comin here and meetin new ppl and learning and helping as I can, but all this xtra stuff I may have to replace/ locate, is discouraging...

Question for you guys will a water pump pulley from a 200 or 240 fit on a 300?

After a fruitless search, I'm going to have my brother turn a billet double pulley. This pulley is for the short-nose water pump. I'll post a few pics when it's done.

Rick- Have you tried Dorris Auto Wreckers in Hayward? I go there a lot and they have old stuff there often - last month for example they had a 62 Comet. On the West side of the lot they have crates of pulleys - stacked 8 feet high. I spent an hour there and found several water pump pulleys that matched the one I had from a 69 Falcon 2000. Let me know if you need the address - I think it is on Depot Road.

Ha ha! I was just there this morning, but I was getting Corvair stuff (yikes! they are down to two). Great place for old cars. Yep, it's on Depot. There's a place over on Winton that also has a bunch of oldies, but the guy running it is kind of a, hmmm, how to say this..... yeah that's it, a dickhead. It's one yard up from the pick'n'pull.
I probably should've checked the bins and crates at Dorris the last couple times I was there, but my brother just got a new CNC lathe, and heck, he still owes me for some Division series tics. I figured a custom pulley or a couple of carb adapters will make us even.
