Has anybody figured out how to adapt the 65 mustang rod linkage to the 32/36 Weber . I can't seem to get the right angle on the rod , so that it pulls back on the carb link , without the rod going up and down . If anybody has done this change they know what I'm talking about .

Confused ,

When I bought the Weber adapter from Clifford, I bought an linkage adapter too. Works pretty good IMHO.

I need to get the camera out today and get some other pictures of the car, so I'll take a picture of the linkage and post it this evening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated . Pictures would be perfect.

Is there any difference between the accelerator pedal rod assemblies on

the 66 to the 65?

Thanks

Sorry, dead batteries in the digital camera and I could not find the charger (disappeared when I moved). I'm running out to the store at lunch to pick up a new a charger so I'll try and get the picture up tonight.

Here is a picture of the linkage. Hope it helps...

That looks similar to my home brew fabrication. I used a large Fender washer as my crank. I drilled several holes in it to give me a few choices on matching the range of motion to that of the carbs throttle plates. I bolted one of the throttle linkage studs through the hole. Looks like that adaptor has some alternate mounting holes too.

Sorry about the quality of the picture. I need to get another one that shows the whole linkage a little better.

Suprisingly, it works pretty well, too.

How long is your adjuster rod linkage . I'm almost the there . Seems the adjuster is to short . It's starts to bind then when you get the binding to stop you run into the problem of not getting wide open throttle. The pics have helped a great deal.

Thanks

So far so good , the car runs good . Now to get started on the Clifford dual outlet header and then find a exhaust shop that can run the dual exhaust which should not be a problem. The only problem I can foresee is the alternator and a/c getting in the way.

Thanks for all your help
