I've got a Duraspark II setup and used the wiring diagrams posted here and in other places to wire it into my 65 Ranchero. When wired exact to the diagrams, I get no spark. If I take the white wire (used to retard the timing on startup, not even necessary to be connected to anything for the DSII to function according to all the diagrams) and ground it, I get spark and the DSII functions normally. All my components are properly grounded, it's just that the white wire has to be run to ground also or the system won't work. What does everyone make of this?
