Well I'm thinking about giggle gas

Well in March I will be setting up a an offy triple carb setup on my 200. What I am thinking is to add a direct port wet NOS system to this for a bit more power at the track. I have an FSPP dual roller timing chain, FSPP 274 cam, petronic ignition, Ross forged pistons, roller tipped rockers, I am running a 10:1 comp ratio, hooker super comp header, 7 qt oil pan, bored .040 over, port and polished head, and exhaust port divider. I know my comp ratio is kinda high for the giggle gas, but I figure with the forged pistons and running a wet system I shouldn't have too much of a problem. I could open up the combustion chambers a lil more to bring down the comp ratio. Any ideas and suggestions will be helpfull and appreciated.

Thanks,
David

David,
Your comp ratio is fine for N2O. As with any power adder, the timing curve and fuel octane level becomes more critical. If you get this wrong, you will make holes in stuff that not suppose to have holes! Although in my experience the head gasket will go away long before anything happens to the expensive stuff.
Later,
Will

Will,
Thanks for the info. do u have any suggestions on the timing curve when I get to that point? I am planning on running 93 octane with out the N2O. I will only be using the N2O at the track and Milan dragway sells a cple different octane race fuels so I will hae access to higher octane when I want to run it. Any more help from u or anyone else here will be greatly appreciated, Thanks.
