What Air Cleaner/Fresh Air Intake Are You Running?

I got a fresh remanufactured 200 transplanted into my '64 Falcon wagon, and I'd like to come up with a better air cleaner setup (currently a 4" Mr. Gasket piece), ideally one that has a fresh air intake provision. The 'accordian' rubber tubes are ugly, but I'm more interested in how the car runs and looks like on the outside rather than what's covered up under the hood- so ugly is OK. The carb is a Holley 1-barrel, and I'm running a Pacemaker header, so the more fresh air the better to keep the fuel air from getting too warm. Something that could be scrounged out of a junkyard cheaply would be a bonus! Thanks in advance for any replies.

I fabbed up a ram induction pipe from the radiator support wall just behind the grill, an idea I got from the Falcon Performance handbook. I made a funnel shaped collector and used 2" performance hose from a speed shop to connect it to the horn of the stock air cleaner on my 1100. It is made a noticeable difference at highway speed.

I was thinking about doing this but enstead of putting them to the grill because there is no way without cutting the radiator suport wall (67 mustang) I was thinking about cutting holes in valance and putting two cold air intake pipes from down there. But then again it would make it harder for air to travel through to the carb :? What do you guys think about that idea?

Some of the guys recommended that as well; a type of mass air intake. Take the fresh air from the wheel well(s). That will work. You could do a cowel induction too. Don't know how to do it, but there is a pool of air under pressure at the joint of the hood and the windshield.

Its not cold air, but there is no restriction.

The K&N 14"x3" with a K&N top are on my 4412-500 holley

Looks like a fairly tight fit...did you have any real clearance problems? I was thinking of a 14" X-Stream on my 300 but I may have a clearance problem with my heater core box so I'll probably go with the 11" model.
