what all do I need to know about valve train modification?

first off, I'd like to thank all that have helped me in the past, all the help gave me the confidence I needed to rebuild my engine for turbocharging, as I'm currently rebuilding the engine ( well it's a bare block now, got it torn apart ). so I'm going thru with turbocharging the engine.

I have a few questions about the valve train.

the first is, what needs to be machined on the cyl head if I use the teflon valve seals from classic inlines?
are roller tipped 1.6 rockers worth the investment? or are stock adjustable 1.6's ok?

do I have to do anything special to use chrome moly push rods?

I won't offer specifics as there are others more qualified. I will; however offer this advice. Focus on your original idea and don't sway. Decide what it is you want from this build. Then ask what any particular mod or purchase will do to bring you closer to it. If it doesn't, don't go that route.

My idea changed a couple times, but since just before I brought the car in for the engine rebuild, my idea was to have a intercooled blow thru EFI setup, which is what I'm going for and I'm building the engine for the turbo, 8.3:1 comp Custom Forged pistions with 10cc dish ect.... originally I was going to set up the engine draw thru, but learned that it makes less HP and dosn't run well in the cold, so that was out of the question.

the questions on the teflon valve seals and rockers are things I'm considering.

but what I'm after is a reliable 200-250 Hp with a decent bottom end, dyno program I have shows the engine waking up at 3k which, is ok I guess.

If reliability is in your interest, I'd stay with regular rockers. I know rollers are the way to go for that extra umph, but unless you are after every little bit, I'd keep your money for another area of your build (headwork, ignition).

Plus, I got the new Hot Rod this week and there were a few photos with rollers that flew apart. Ouch!

My ignition will be a DSII running locked out into the MSII ECU and running a MSD blaster 2 coil along with some high performance 8mm spark plug wires

I'v decided that I'm going with the Yella Terra full rollers. economicly I will bennifit from them because they come with new pushrods and lifters, which before, I would have had to spend $100 on, and so between that and the fact that the $50 core would be refunded, so it would be only $70 more for a better product, that and the power bennifit from being full roller, and the 1.65 ratio, over 1.6 ratio.
