i'm at the point of selecting a fuel pump for the megasquirt for the 89' 300 going into my 84 bronco. engine is stock for now and won't be getting too much hotter than an off road cam, so i don't really think that i need a 400 doller pump...

just curious as to what you guys have ran and what you think about it.

The inline walbro pumps are cheap and very good. They come in a variety of flow rates and maximum pressures. You can also get multiple adapters for different fuel fittings. Heres a good link:

You can get the pumps off of Summit Racing for like $130. Some are in-tank designs, some are inline.

The downside is that the fittings are a 10mm x 1.0 washer seal, so they are hard to find locally. The Quick connect "bundy" style ford fittings will not work with the internal clip style quick connect. It will clip in place, but there is no room to insert a release tool to remove. You will have to unscrew it from the pump and leave the fitting on the fuel line. Its not that big of a deal though.

Also, if you have a 300 fuel rail with a 2 bolt regulator, you can install an aftermarket adjustable one with a slight modification to the bolt holes on the regulator. This is the one I used:

The bolt pattern is about a bolts diameter wider at each side, so elongating the holes makes it bolt right on. Also the top can be unbolted and turned 180 degrees for better manifold pressure access.
