Can anybody sum up the pertinent specs on my '79 notchback Ghia or point me to a website that has it. I know I've got a 200ci with a C-3 tranny and a Holley model 1946 carb. I'm new to this stuff and would like to know what I'm starting with. Would like to know all the basic stuff:

HP
torque
valve and ports
bore and stroke
rockers
crank specs
cam specs
CR
pistons and rings
rear end ratio
carb cfm
fuel pressure
etc.

I've got a Detroit Iron service manual on CD but I don't even understand half the specs in it! Pardon the ignorance but I want to learn!

hp i would be somwhere around 120 to the fly with none of the smog crap
torque up around 190 without the smog equipment
valves: intake 1.75in exhaust 1.5in
bore: 3.68(wow major brain lapse) i think
stroke: dont remember
rockers: dont know but either 1.5:1 ratio or 1.6:1 ratio
cam specs: dont know
CR: not sure
crank specs:dont know wut u mean but its a cast
pistons: same as crank
rear end ratio: dont know
carb CFM: dont know but id guess ~150 max
fuel pressure: its carberated so low

hope i helped

your engine would be an 8.5:1 engine, using dished pistions

make about 115 HP

the holley 1940 series is rated about 185 or so CFM.

pistions are cast

Appreciate the info but I found it on my CD, duh! Took me a while to find it, the index leaves a considerable amount to be desired and the quality is somewhat less than perfect. It's a PaperPort file and I didn't know if ya'll wanted to download a viewer, so I took some time and "screen shot" it and cut and paste it into a .jpeg file. I don't have a printer or a scanner or I'd done it in .pdf Hope ya'll find it useful. According to Detroit Iron's 1979 Ford shop manual.....

Just realized I didn't get it all. I'll take it work so I can get it in .pdf I can't find performance specs in my manual though so that info. is great! Thanks.

bummer, can't upload a .pdf file in "Photobucket". What do you use to post a .pdf file?

Otherwise, take screen shots of the PDF and save them as image files.
