X2 Yes looks like a 223 six it dose have a 1961 to 1964 type head and valve cover on it but that's as close as I can get without seeing some casting numbers and date codes. That body style was made from 1961 to 1966 so discription year could be off some making it a possableity. If that truck was a 1964 F100 to F350 truck they also could have the optional 262 six in it (that was the biggest six made in that engine family (those engines are kind of rare nowdays) 1964 was the last year those two older six'es were used in truck production. LOL, I wonder if they got the year wrong too you wouldn't think someone would swap in one the older six's in place of a 240 / 300. I also ran into this oddity on few vintage cars and trucks that I bought that in some states they registered cars and trucks year model as the year they were first sold, the Vin number would be the way straighten out part of this mystery.
