What application.. "I need a starter for a ..??" would I ask for/look for to use on a 250 with manual tranny?.
Working to install it in the Big Fin Comet project. I've obtained a 157 tooth neutral balance flywheel and a C5DA-157 tooth toploader type bellhousing. I need to get the starter. I looked around and realized the V8 Ford starters vary in number of teeth and depth. I don't know what application specifies the C5XX - 157 tooth flywheel/bell.
Some Granada's and Maverick/Comets supposedly came with a 250/manual tranny but will that starter work with the early (C5) bell?. I wonder what the bell code would be for the later 250/stick tranny?. Is it the same starter as the C4 250?.
I think that's the most question marks I've used in any post to date
