I need to get my engine rebuilt in preparation for a turbo. I want it to be able to handle 3-400rwkw.
Its a 250 xflow out of an XF. It already has a stage 3 COME racing head on it but i dont want to get the bottom end done there as they are more NA V8 enthusiasts.

Any recommendations? Preferably in the Melbourne area.

Thanks
Dan

If you are real nice you may get to talk to this guy via PM , MTS-250turbo. He's da man. Then theres another guy off the FullBoost forum. He's not a member here....yet!

Be very carefull....you may get what you want!

For round 400 rear wheel killer watts, there will need to be 530 flywheel HP. For this level, you will need a turbo for sure. A Falcon six is very strong. A set of 300 I6 F150 con-rods and custom forged pistons with a 1.26" deck would be the ducks gutts. The crank should hold together if the fillet raduis is taken care of.

My suggestion is that you'll also want a yukk pa ap ugh Chevy THM 700 Trans if you want it to remain streetable. Or spend mega buks on an Art Carr trans or go for a four speed toploader with Liberty cut gears. There is no way a heavy car like a Falcon could cop a hi-stall C4 without burning large holes in suburban pavement.

Look up jmac (John McKenzie) around the GM bulletin boards and forums; he seems to know all the right people and isn't afraid to play "spot the naked emperor". One of the few people who can say more than XECUTE.

Cheers, Adam.

I know him from the Blowthru Turbo forum. He is very good. I read his posts regardless of the subject.

Dan, I would try to find '6Boost' on Performanceforums.com he can give some unreal advice and if you ask him nicely he may even be able to supply some parts (according to some of his posts on PF, i dont actually no him).
Either way, se if u can find him.

Thanks for the replies guys. keep them coming. Ill try and find the guy on the gm forums you speak of.

Ive already spoken to 6Boost and he is in queensland so not really much help with the actually build. He has advised me what parts to use though.

Thanks

Johnny's in the Melbourne suburbs; that's why I mentioned him. Good to see he gets noticed overseas!

Cheers, Adam.
