Which head to get?

I went junk yarding today and scored a lot of great things I've been looking for, however, I could not locate the head I wanted. I found several from early 80's fords( Granada, Fairmont) and I don't think those are the ones Iwant. The reason I say that is they all have this thing attatched to the head under the carb. It looks like some sort of vacuum diaphragm . I didn't think this is the head for my 65 Mustang 200ci. Am I right about this?

Where might I find this block off plate? Is it something I must custom make?[/quote]

Yep, take the EGR gasket, place it on a sheet of flat metal, trace the outer edge and mark where the bolt holes are drilled. Drill the holes and make sure the outer shape of the metal is larger the the outter dimensions of the EGR gasket and you should be in business.

Alternatively some people have uses very thin (think popcan) metal and placed it between the EGR and the head (I thought the EGR was on its own spacer?)

Thanks for the info. I have a buddy at work who is doing the same things to a 65 Falcon and it would be good for him too.
