Hey. I was just wondering what is everyones opinion on the best workshop manual with the most info on the 250 2V head and all that goes with it. I have the Gregory's #155, which has some info in it. I also have the Max Ellery's Abridged workshop manual for XR-XY which makes no mention of 2V, in fact I think it's pretty poor for 250's and XY's in general.

So the real question is this, which other manual might be better? Does the genuine Ford factory workshop manual for XY-ZD include the 250 2V, or was it published before they released the 2V and never updated? Does the either the genuine Ford factory or Ellery workshop manual for XA have a few more details? If anyone has any of these books I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I know the factory manuals are reprinted, but at $140+ new they'd need to be bloody good, and getting a second hand one is like winning lotto. Will be interested to see what you think. Thanks

hey mate i got the factory xy zd manual it doesnt have any info on the 2v but it has alot of other info for the cars which i bloody usefull. as for the 140 bucks asking price grab 2 of them it is worth more than that with all the info in them.
try the xa workshop manual for the 2v motor it might have something in it. if you buy it go to the technical book shop on latrobe st in the city, it used to be on swanston street a couple of doors up from the 7-11 on the russell st corner
