I'm looking for suggestions on where to weld the bung for my wideband.

I have a Classic Inlines dual outlet header and dual exhaust starter kit with a x pipe. Is it OK to weld the bung in the x pipe or should I have a bung welded to each collector and swap the sensor.

Thanks, Ken

I think it should be just behind each collector about 6 to 12 inches

I moun mine in the collector as close to the flange as possible or just the other side of the flange. EFI can require some other refinement including programing for pulse spacing.

close to the collector so that it gets good and hot. I have mine reading only one branch of my dual out. Plug reading show consistent color across all six cylinders (leaner on 1 and 6), so I figure that getting O2 readings only from 4,5,and 6 is close enough to properly tune a carb.

IMO two is better than one, this way you can see what part of the engine is most lean, and run the others more rich, rich won't hurt as bad as lean conditions will.

I have dual exhaust and recently put a H pipe in, had them add 2 bungs about 6-12inches after the collecters for my O2 sensor.

With dual exhaust, I'd go with two sensors beacuse I would question the accuracy in the cross over pipe. I put mine right after the 2-1 pipe at the end of the header but I'm only running a single outlet exhaust.
