...Will be traveling to Oz, need a place to stay, help!

:oz: Hi mates,

I will be flying to Canberra (all the way from Colombia, So. America) next March 4th, for work-related reasons. I'll be staying at some college residences there, but I'll have to check out by March 19th. Of course, if that is the case I would not have any spare time left to see the sights, do some shopping, etc... it'd be nice to stay for maybe a couple more days. I've looked into hotel rooms but they're quite high for my budget. Could any of you help me with that or give me some advice as well? thank you in advance... :thanks:
