Do they make a Pertronix module for my '63 vintage 170 ci? Just curious about maybe getting away from points.
Thanks!

don't wait...ORDER.
I can't even describe the difference. The moment you turn the ignition switch, your eyes will be as big as quarters. Smooooth!

Can anyone give a recomendation as to a part number? I also hear that there is a Pertronix 1 and 2 (I think that is what they are called). Which would be recommended? Just as a note, I am still running the stock generator.
Thanks.

I have a 1, but the 2 is better, although more money. They work with a gen or an alt, makes no differeance. As faras the part number, just get it from any Falcon dealer such as Dearborn or JCWhitney (where I bought mine) and they'll order the correct one for you.

The earlier units are different in that the shaft bore in the block is slightly smaller. For that reason, the usual hop-up of a DII won't just drop in.

There are a couple of other options. Ones is an Aussie electronic distributor. These will fit the block right away but require a new hole drilling and taping for the hold-down. The other option is a modified DII. One of the guys on the Forum was going to turn down the shaft so that it fitted a '64 block.

I mention these because when installed, either is an instant horsepower/economy adder compared to a worn original with a clipped on module.

Adam.
