Is the 79-82 different than the earlier one? I know the balancer changed.

Yes, 1 difference is it has a bolt hole location for a alternator bracket, the earlier ones did not, since they had generator, I have 2 of the 60s model, tempted to try and rework alternator bracket

I had the same problem. Just modified the generator bracket on my 144 engine. Put on a 10si alternator. This eliminated the voltage regulator and wiring.

I’m in need of a 67 timing cover for my 200. Mine has a crack. If you have one for sale, I could sure use it!
