Well, I've researched the hell out of the topic, and I've decided I'm going with either the Carter YF, or the Carter RBS. What I'm wondering is are there any models, years or whatever of these carbs I should look out for?
There is some fantastic information available on the web, but I'm hoping to distill that with some firsthand knowledge from you guys.
Poking around Holley's reman carb listings today, I found they were used in one form or another over a 20 period by Ford. Year to year, and model to model the carbs had slightly different part numbers.
What differences were there from year to year? Should I lean towards ordering a truck model, as emissions changes and such occurred later for trucks than for passenger cars? Any thoughts on what types of air volume the different models delivered? I can only assume ordering the earliest possible model might be a good thing, as I'm looking for pure simplicity.
Thanks for your assistance guys. After a while I hope to be dishing out answers instead of questions.
