My 52 Ford (Customline) has some interesting innovations...like most cars from that era in Cuba. The gear box (4 gears) is from a Russian car: Volga 24, the starter motor is from a Russian army jeep UAZ, the differential from a Dodge of the 60's or 70's (not sure). ...I had the engine disassembled to know what size of pistons, rings, bearings, etc I should get here in Canada, and I just found out that the pistons and sleeves are from an engine built in Cuba for buses, and that the timing chain and timing gear were adapted from another russian car: Lada. I know nothing about mechanics, but the truth is that the poor OHV 215 seems to handle all that pretty well. It runs very quietly and smoothly......
So.......................what do you think?????
