Block drain plug?

I'm wanting to flush and drain all the coolant from the block of my '66 200 but I don't see a plug.
Is there one?

There are no specific drain holes.
If you just want to drain the system you would typically do it from the valve on the bottom of the rad.
But that won't get everything out, so the thing to do is pull that lower rad hose too.
The only other access in there are the 5 freeze plugs on the passenger side.

Yea, the lower hose doesn't drain more than a few oz more.
Pulling the water pump will drain it as much as I will need.

Thanks for your help..

It is on the passenger side mid way, but you can forget about using it . I can not ever get them loose.

Well, thanks a lot drag-200stang! I guess I need new glasses, it was right behind the exhaust pipe.

And with a 3/8" six point socket, 6" extension, and an 18" breaker bar it came loose easily.

Just what I needed, thanks again!

 Hi JAGGUY.IIRC those plugs are the same thread size as the drain valve in the radiator.
If so,that would make a convienient drain plug for the block.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

Is there enough room to put a drain valve in and still be able to get the starter in when running headers?
