Guys,

As the subject suggests, can I somehow turn a DII into an 84' 7 wire TFI ? Ideas of controlling the spark curve were rumbling around while carring Christmas trees the other day. Thoughts? Machining a new billet distributor core is not a problem. Maybe hack off a post 84' tfi unit and mate it to the 200's needed size. thinking....thinking

Cheers Mike

Go find a 3.8 V6 and hack its distributor in half to get a TFI upper. TIG that to the inline lower and you should have a solution. The shaft should be long enough to work without too much work, but check the diameter. I think it's the same.
