Australian GMH 202ci six upgrades tested

Post #1 by gb500 » Thu May 22, 2008 10:58 pm

gents: found this article .

in the interest of advancing the knowledge of six lovers everywhere.

its interesting as they take a std 202ci GM Holden six ( zillions here in australia) and test various mods

from std single barrel carb = 116 flywheel HP

to 164 flywheel HP carbed /extractors/cam etc

then install in a car behind a 3 speed auto and get :
151 REAR wheel HP on a carb and
then add EFI and get :
166rear wheel HP .

Note the cam put in (a crow 35677) is a 286 deg / 224 @ 50 and 0.467" lift ... au&id=7229

there isnt too much design diffrernce between the Holden six and our ford sixes ( except maybe the manifold!).

biggest engine holden did was a 202ci where as Ford went to 250
