95 maf setup, were they sequential injection?

Post #1 by jjona5 » Wed Dec 14, 2016 8:59 pm

So I did a search and didn't come up with anything good and I don't have a wiring schematic to run them down. Does anyone know if the OBD1 maf based 4.9l pcm/wiring run sequential injection?

I have heard some rumors of early production MAF-equipped cars that were still batch fire, but I don't believe it. According to Ford, all the MAF/EEC-V equipped 300s were SEFI.

SEFI will have individual drivers for each injector. Of the two wires going to each injector, the VREF (+12v) wires will all be the same color. The driver wires (ground) in bank-fired systems will be 3 and 3 (3 injector wires one color, 3 injector wires another color). With SEFI, each injector will have a unique color code for the driver wires.

So, as confusing as I made that, you should be able to peek at the plugs/wires at the injectors or bulkhead connector to figure out what you have.
