Annular 4bbl for boosting?

Does anyone know if there's a 4 barrel, annular discharge style carburetor that would work for a boosted (supercharged) application? I'm basically looking for one with mechanically-operated secondaries; with a cfm rating between 350-500.

OR

Is there any way I can get away with using one of the vacuum secondary Autolites available? I doubt there's a modification I can perform..

OR

Is there a way to convert the venturis? I saw some kits while searching, but they seemed to be for very large flowing carbs only. Would it be cost-effective to have them changed?

One other question. This carburetor is listed as to be used on a circle track. Other than the lack of choke, can anyone tell me why they would say this?

From what I've heard, you can get away with a larger carb if you're using annular boosters. Also, annular boosters decrease the carb's CFM. A 575CFM carb with annular boosters has the same size of throttle bores and plates as a 600 or 650CFM carb. The annular boosters are physically larger, so the CFM rating drops.

Just repeating what I've read and heard. No experience here.

Oh god, not that carb! That thing costs 700 bucks! And did you read my previous posts? I already linked to it. And it says it has straight boosters, doesn't that mean non-annular?

I have one of these, but have not installed the engine yet so cannot comment on whether it is too large or not. From what i was told and emailing the guys at CSU, it shouldn't be a problem. CSU calibrated it to match my engine spec.

.....but i guess i'll have to wait and see! :D
