I'm looking for the price on the long shaft and the outer shafts, item 20, 38 and 21 in the Performance Oriented Weber catalogue for 3 choke IDF 3C Weber carbs. Normal Weber part numbers are 100015.419, 100005.407 and 10015.415 respectively for item 20, 38 and 21in the orginal A size 40 mm throttle spindles, but there are B and C over sizes in 40 and 46 mm throttles, so I'll take what I can buy.

I can't find it anywhere else.

I am looking at building my own iron or tooling plate heat treated or free machining aluminum, since the parts supply is really cheap, and I need help with parts to do a specific job. Lancia Statos 2.9's, 4 Liter Lamborghini Muiras, Porsche 911 T's and Ferrari Boxer BB 365's and 512's don't have front mounted engines and Webers have never been compact, so I'm not interested in supplying bootleg parts.

I already have shaft coupling assy IDA 3c, teflon bushing throttle shaft 40/46 IDA 3C, Throttle Plate Butterfly 46mm, Primary throttle valve IDA, Throttle plate 40mm etc

I need item 20, 21 and 38, part numbers 100015.419,10015.415 and 100005.407

Background is carb height and stock prices for good cores.

I have had a lot more trouble sourcing good carb cores to make my triple carb/EFI intake manifold work. Considerations have been Weber 32/36 DGAV, 38 DGAS, Holley Weber 5200 and 6500, Holley 350/500/650 2-bbls, but hood clearance is still something of an issue, especially on the 250 engine in Fox body and 69 to 70 Mustangs. Nearest I've come is the German Cologne V6 Solex carbs, used from the 60's to early 80's. They were also used on Opels OHC engines. Some versions even used my manifolds Stovebolt style mounting set-up. The Opel item at the bottom proves the throttle spindle location isn't an issue, and I've delt with those matters from 10 years of design work.

I had then looked at a supply of 46 mm Aisan VV carbs, a horizontal Teflon coated SU HIF46 carb which have EO compliance and are used in about 15 installations from 1984 to 2006, with all the failures known and conquered. Problem is, I cannot find a source at a reasonable price for me to rattle off the 25 engines I need to build this year. Same with the Aussie Ford Falcon Throttle Body injection unit ( a Nissan VG30e tbi unit using the stock Chrysler K car/Geo injectors). You can get 'em, but you'll inflate the price just by buying them, and in any case, there are only so many around, and they are getting old.

The $25 single Tempo/Topaz CFI on a Offy or Edelbrock tri power is still the best bet,

but its only a 1.6875" single injector set up, and cant supply the right roosters tail for performance. It would work nicely on a Classic Inlines head if the right adaptor was made, but others here can do that.

All the other 2 hole and big one hole carbs are pretty much a 400 dollar prospect to ensure the end user gets good, reliable results. And I then need three and some kind of Throttle position sensor.

Have you tried contacting these guys. http://www.redlineweber.com/

Thanks for that, I've not contacted then yet becasue I'm from overseas, and I need some market intelligence.

I've also got

http://www.racetep.com
http://www.performanceoriented.com
and
http://www.carburetion.com

There were another few recomendations from forum members here who have relatives and friends who work at various Weber outlets. Its not really price, its being able to get the stuff on a repeated basis.

If its a little like the counter wally situatution, where its all too akward and too hard, then I'm better of lengthening a or dovetaing some Holley or Rochester throttle shafts together. Or perhaps being a little bit more straight forward and say I have a 911 Porsche, and I need replacement shafts of any type pronto, here's my credit details, drop em off to me asap.
