Hi all. New member first post. I have a 68 convertible, 3.3L, 200 ci, 6 cylinder, automatic transmission. New autolite 1100 carb, new coil, new points, condenser, rotor and rotor cap, new ignition wiring pigtail. Curbside idle is set to 700 RPMs, timing is set to 12 degrees BTDC. My problem is a slight hesitation when accelerating slowly, to the point of stalling. If I punch the gas it will take off fine. I had the idle set to 550-600 RPMs but it would stall when taking off slowly, on a turn at a light in traffic for example. I've bumped the timing up to 14 and down to 10, both made it worse. I've gone down the road adjusting the idle fuel mixture screw a 1/2 turn every few hundred yards trying to find the sweet spot. I've gotten it the best that I can but it still slightly hesitates, almost like it's going to stall if I accelerate slowly. It would not be good in the neighborhood 4th of July parade for example. Any suggestions? I appreciate the help. Oh....and this is my wife's car....and she won't drive it unless it's trouble free. My car has a little more giddyup and go in it.
