Hello All
I'm rebuilding my engine and the shop manual for my 170 inline describes measuring cam lobe with the engine in (measuring the lift of the pushrods). Can this be done just as accurately with the cam out? Essentially measuring the base circle of the cam and subtract it from the thickness across the cam lobe’s highest point, per http://www.lunatipower.com/Tech/Cams/CamSpecTerms.aspx ?
Thanks
Tony
