Who makes the best add-on performance modules for Fords. Engine is 2000 is V-6 /3.0
So much hype flying around trying to find what is real.

What particular vehicle is the V6 in? Ranger, Taurus, or what?

Are you thinking of swapping the EFI system from one of these engines onto our inline 6? Remember that any ECU from this year would be OBD2, and would have a boatload of sensors that would have to be transferred/adapted over for the system to function. These OBD2 systems used input from, or monitored, the transmission, charcoal canister, crank position, cam position, and other minor aspects of the engine that can't be bypassed. OBD1 systems were a lot simpler and could give you similar performance for less hassle.

No it is meant for my DD pick up.
Have been considering Ford V-6 EFI system. What year was last OBD-1? What yr would be best? sequential or batch ? MAF or MAP?

The last OBD1 was around 1994 for most Fords with total changeover in 1996. As for the rest of your questions: which is better, Coke or Pepsi?

The last year for OBD1 may be considered the best because the programming was mostly sorted out by then, but it is also the most complicated (more sensors) making the earlier systems easier to retrofit.

Sequential is best for idle and low RPMs, but as the RPMs increase it's pretty much a wash.

MAP has an advantage in that it has no restriction in the airflow, which MAF has. MAF has an advantage in that you are directly measuring incoming air instead of taking readings from sensors and making calculations to derive volume which MAP does. MAF also has an advantage of compensating for changing engine conditions (wear). One disadvantage of MAF is the plumbing from the MAF sensor to the throttle body has to have no leaks, which can be a problem.

Dont' even ask which is better, TBI or MPFI; or easier - GM reprogramming or Ford. Coke or Pepsi?

There is a lot of information, both good and bad, on any of the questions you've asked on the internet. Just Google.

Hope this helps.
