three speed toploader to 215 six

im restoring a 52 f3 with a 215 six and spur gear 4 speed. i have an opportunity to get a 3 speed (floor shift) from a 50 f1 with a flathead 6. what i want to know is will it fit?

I would say maybe, do you have a picture of the front of trans? I have a trans from a 223 and am sure the bolt patern is the same for a 215.

what i would like to know is if a 3 speed transmission from a 50 ford f1 with a flathead 6 will fit behind a 215 in a 52. right now i have a 4 speed spur gear and want a synco transmission

So your 4spd from '52 is a crashbox? Really? They made those up to '52?

As for if they will bolt up, I don't know. I wouldn't think so, but I just don't know.

Dose the 50 F1 look like the a 78 Series case with round front or like the T87 HD 3 speed? (see above link for pictures)

If it’s the T87 and you have the right bell than it should work on a 215 / 223. If you can get some pictures of the 50 F1 trans and your bell could be more definite.
