1 mm play on valve locks along valve stem, OK?

Hi,
i ordered new valve locks en like the worn old ones these new ones have aprox 1 mm play along the valve stem in the notch.

Is this OK?

I can't see a problem with that as long as the springing is correct for the cam, and the retainers are also suitable. Either of those might potentially let you down otherwise.
