All Small Six 144 distributer

Is there a none load-o-matic distributer (centrifugal advance with vacuum advance) that will fit a 144 engine? Point type OK. I know DUI has one $400.00 Plus! OUCH! I am looking for something temporary until I can get a 200 engine installed. The 144 has the 1/4" oil drive shaft???

No sir. Just put up with the loadamatic till then. Make sure the advance canister is working by applying vacuum to check movement of the breaker plate.
When you get your 200 give me a shout for a distributor, Blii

But you need ti change the crappy chinese electronic module for a bosch one. ... Unless you like riding on tow trucks.... Its a Bosch BIM 024 you need

These were used on a lot of Australian Ford and Holden (local GM) cars so relatively easy to get in Australia.

I think not so much in usa.
But when the cost of a genuine bosch module costs as much as a complete distributor with chineSe module, tells you something of the quality...
There are other non OEM equivalents to the BIM024.out there

DUI said I could order the one for the 144 and at a later date send it back and they could convert it over to the 200 for a savings, first need to see if the loadomatic works. I would prefer dealing with a USA company. Just the cost of our hobby!

Franky, I do not like the look of a GM distributor on a ford. but that's just me.

LOL drag-200stang I am the same way on the DUI or HEI in a Ford, it just looks wrong.
