Ok, was talking to my auto teacher today about the turbo and plans with it, and he noted that the '67 head has non hardened valve seats, and with the turbo, he's worried about having the non hardened seats, as we cannot machine for hardened seats in house. I'v heard about just upgrading to stainless valves and that cures the problem and soft seats can be used, is this true?
also for turbocharging, will I need stiffer valve springs? will be running 8.3:1 comp and 8 PSI boost. the valve springs had 1.02 shims under them, and I don't know there original rating.
