1968 dstributor

New Mustang owner here. I didn' want to hijack the other distributor thread
I have an 1100 carb with the dist. that has the 2 vacuum ports on it.
The car is an 68 Mustang with automatic. Which lines do I need to hook up between the carb and the dist. ? Car starts good but starts missing after warmup. Also I added Pertronix to dist. New wires, plugs, cap and rotor.
All help is appreciated

Hook the advance nipple up to ported vaccum, leave the center (retard) nipple open. Open your plug gap up to .045".

And welcome to the Forum

YOur miss after warmup is likely due to a lean idle condition that is covered by the enrichening of the choke and fast idle on start up.

How may turns out is your low speed air screw set at? what is your location? Is this a California emmissions engine? Any burned valves? what is the cylinder pressure?

Adios, David

Thanks for the quick reply's. I am in Oklahoma and I haven't run a commpression test yet. Only had the car about 3 weeks.
When I got the car the vac. retard was hooked up to a port on the carb that had no vacuum. I moved the line to the other port on the carb. and didn't show any difference in the way it ran. I will move the line to the advance port and see what happens. The advance port right now is plugged off. Not sure about the carb adjustments but will check it out. Again thanks for the help.
Will have a lot of questions in days to come. This car has several problems

I tore down a 68 200 & never put it back together, but if I recall correctly, there is a manifold vacuum line to a device on the thermostat housing that opens after warmup. It should have a vacuum line that then goes to the retard port of the distributor advance canister. It could be a source for a vacuum leak after warmup. Especially if that vacuum line isn't hooked up after the temperature switched vacuum device or the vaccum advance canister has a leak. If I ever put that engine back together, it won't be assembled as a stock 68 engine.
