Hello all,
I am after an oil pan for my 250, but am struggling to find a parts supplier who stocks these. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

If not, does anyone have a good condition second hand oil pan they'd like to sell me?

Thanks
Nathan

Come on and help this man out!11 years of 250 production to to choose from, all the same except the seperate chassis Torino 250's from 1972 on wards.

Nathan, you'll most likely have to get one ex Finland, Sweden, Canada or the US. Back in 2004 Rob the Viking or was it Viking Rob... (search the Memberlist) had a 1969 Ford Fairlane 250 engine which he was putting into his European Ford Capri. I think he was in London. We lost touch of him, his website fell out of date, and I failed to keep the pictures. I sent him a few emails.

I'm way down here in New Zeland. All our Australian "Antipodean 250's" are different to the US ones. Basically, any 250 engined X-shell Fairlane, 68- 70.5 Falcon, 68- 71 Torino/Ranchero, 68-73 Mustang, Maverick, Monarch, 75-80 Granada should fit.

I don't think it's that no one wants to help. I just think he is SOOL finding a new one. He can search junkyards to find one but a couple of years ago, I searched and searched for one on the net and on here and catalogs and phone calls and finally gave up and had mine brazed up and coated with the same stuff they coat gas tanks with. Good Luck finding one. With that said I did see one on Ebay this year, NOS. I should have picked it up.

Thanks for the replies. I've been searching for a while all over the US sites, but may have got lucky a little closer to home!

I may have sourced a 2nd hand one in the UK from a Mustang specialist breakers yard. Just waiting to hear whether it is definetely a 250 and not a 200.

The engine was dropped when removing it and subsequently damaged the pan, if i can't find one i'll have to get mine repaired.

Why does no one supply them new anymore? There seam to be plenty of 200 pans around.

8) from what i can tell the 250 is harder to find than other ford sixes despite the fact that many were made. i found one after looking for one for 8 months. you might send apm to does10s and see if they have an extra pan.

If your pan is just damaged, I can almost guarantee having it repaired will be cheaper than trying to get one shipped from the US.

Having a custom one made would almost be cheaper.
