I am wondering, does the adaptor with any 2 bbl carb have enough clearance for the hood? Is it too tall? How tall is it completely assembled? Can I see a pic of the asembly on an engine?
To answer your question it would be helpful to know which carb you are considering. There are some issues with generic adapters and Holley 5200 / Weber DG series carbs. If you are considering a Holley 2300 or Motorcraft there are fewer issues.
I just installed a 5200 w/ a Clifford in a '61.
