2.3/2.5 HSC Exhaust Manifolds????

Since the 2.3/2.5 hsc engines were based on the 200 can you butcher a couple of these exhaust manifolds to use on the 200? They look like they were made to flow much better than the original manifolds. They actuall have runners! Of course, they would still not be as good as full blown headers.

If the port spacing is same, it would seem like you would cut off and block one runner. If the bolt pattern wasn't the same you could weld up an adapter that would actually add volume and runner length. Hmmm.

Sorry mate, No, they don't fit . It's all because the manifold is vertical like the SP and ME and cross-flow heads, whereas the 2V and log head manifold is pitched at an angle.

The six has an almost siamesed centre branch at cylinders 3 and 4, while the 4 misses out the centre branch of two cylinders, and also expands out the rocker cover to encapsulate the cylinder head bolts.

For the six, the best fit is actually the 24, 26 or 28 Ounce Datsun engines. You can almost fit one if you want to make a turbo intake for it.

Otherwise, any of the great aftermarket headers is a better bet.
