What parts will interchange between a 200 and a 250? I am looking for info like pistons, rods ,crankshaft, bearings, rings. Thanks in advance for everyones help :D

The cylinder head.

Different rods, same bore but different pin height on the pistons due to the 250 having almost 1" longer stroke and having a 2" taller deck height on the block. Different timing chain due to cam sitting farther from crankshaft.

Stuff like the cylinder head and camshaft (not timing chain or gears) will interchange and valvetrain parts. Not much else

200 and 250 share pistons, head, ignition system, valvetrain, and camshaft.

Differences: Oil pump, timing gear/chain, starter, water pump, crankshaft, rods, oilpan, header fitment (though cast manifold is the same), accessory brackets, bellhousings.

So there is maybe 40% interchangeability. Bearings should be the same, but you would buy new ones anyhow.

I believe that the crank bearings for the 250 are larger than the 200s, closer in size to the small block V8.

Rod bearings are the same, but the main bearings are different. The 250 used larger main caps, so the bolts/studs are longer too.

well had to change over to a V8 everyone didnt want to but a family member happened to have a 302 and an fmx tranny. My rods were knocking and rings went bad i was driving to va to get the motor and the torque converter poped. anyway will have parts listed in 4 sale section if anyone is looking for anything.Yes have performance parts that are good. Thanks everyone for all the help. Hated to go to V8 but my baby is running again and that deffinatly comes first as its a daily driver.
