200 crossflow carby issues

hi. iam rebuilding a 200 crossflow out of a 82 cortina. ive got a single barrel stromberg carby on it, and i wasnt sure of what size jets i need? iam going for some moderate power but with good efficency (with petrol prices being the way they are) so any help would be great thanks.

is it an alloy head?i think it would be and if it is id turf the manifold and carb and put a twin barrel and manifold from an xe/xf.this will give you better fuel economy and more power.if its a cast iron head it wont fit.

Thanks for the info, i have got a spare manifold and 2 barrel off a 250 with alloy head. will have to rip it out and have a look. thanks again

i just thought i would say that they fit under the bonnet with the stock aircleaner etc cause my drive car is a te with an xe motor so it all fits nice and looks good.

iam throwing mine into a xp falcon, although iam sure that it will fit in nicely. will be a great power boost over the 170 with 2speed auto ive got now
