200 vs 250 crankshaft

Not so likely or easily done due to different main bearing sizes of the two blocks though if you can come up with some bearing spacers or have the 200 cranks mains welded and turned to the 250 mains size you would then be able to fit a 200 crank into a 250 block. Next after all that you would need to find a longer rod to make the combo work maybe from a 240 or some custom ones. If your trying to go the other way your just not going to be able to put a 250 crank into a 200 block its increased stroke won't clear the cam for one and probably some other parts of the block. This would not be a low budget build up. Good luck

couldnt have said it better. and in reality the changes would not be worth the effort. put a 200 crank into a 250 block and you end up with 200ci. and putting a 250 crank into a 200 block gets you 250ci, but an even worse rod to stroke ratio, due ot the need of a shorter rod and a shorter piston. so if you want 250ci, install a 250. if you want a 200 install a 200.

Sorry guys I guess I should have explained my situation better I did not mark the crankshafts I have well enough to tell them apart. I know I have one 250 one 170 two 200s. I can tell the 170 apart from the others because of four mains but the others I am having trouble with. Would like to sell the 250 but I want to make sure which one it is before I do. Will Classic inlines have the two different main sizes on the spec charts?

Ok the 200 has 2.2486 Mains if its still standard. The rods are the same for both the stroke will also be longer on the 250. The 250 has the larger 2.3986 Mains Std. Good luck
