Hi!

I´m gonna put an Eaton M90 supercharger on my mustang and i was wondering about what carburetor should i use? I´m gonna take the block to a machinist for a rebuild and balancing. Should i use a thinner head-gasket? I have headers waiting and a T-5 gearbox

well, i was thinking about a bigger 1-barrel but i guess i have to do some heavy adaptinwork on both so why not 2brl...?

4bbl should be easy to do...

remote mount the M90, draw-through setup, get the machine shop to setup the head like an Offy 3x1 so you get better fuel distro

8) actually the edelbrock is a four barrel carb.

Oh boy, oh boy!!

But then i need 3 carbs! How can i distribute the pressure equally to all carbs?

1 Edelbrock semms to be the cheaper option..?

Or do you mean like 3 to 1 intake on top of the not so good ole log-intake

8) what evan is trying hard not to say is on the head, you open it up like offenhauser did with their 3x1bbl carb settup. then with the blower outlet you run three tubes, one to each carb opening. makes for much better fuel mixture distribution, and better power potential as well.

(oh god i am starting to think like evan!!  )

what he said
4bbl draw through into the supercharger into three tubes to distribute A/F more better

Something I've been wondering... can any roots type blower be used as a draw through setup? And is it as effective, because you're trying to compress the liquid fuel?

And if you're going to do that much fabrication, why not put a throttle body instead of a carb and mount the injectors in the 3 tubes going to the offy-like intake?

how easily does your m90 fit in the engine bay? iam not familiar with them are they big? and are you using a crossflow head on the 200?
iam curious because ive got a falcon iam doing up and iam using a 200 corssflow but am having some problems fitting the blower under the bonnet. its a roots type gm 3-53. or some photos would be awesome.

fuel might not compress well, but it's easy to compress air, which is mostly what the mixture is

however, no, you can't use any blower, it has to have the correct seals to prevent the fuel from washing away the grease lubricating the bearings in it

I've been thinking of doing the same on a 250. My thought was to build a mounting plate to mount the blower to the head then remote mount the carb. Don't know if it will work but it's worth a try, right?

Umm.. Where can i get a suitable throttle-body? Or can it be done the "D.I.Y."-way? Do you know where could i get instructions? Too much questions?

Well there is the Megasquirt DIY route. Also Holley makes a TBI kit which has pretty much all you need if you have the $$, I don't know for sure but I don't see why you couldn't relocate the fuel injectors from the TBI to the intake runners.

EFI will magnify the project if you go that way, there is much more to think about. But I like the M90 way you have chosen. Maybe the simplest way would be to direct mount a 2V adapter on the log and then blow thru a Holley 2V 500 carb or such.

I've been thinking of a M90 too, but prolly I'll still go with N/A setup the next time. For mounting the blower there might help of the A/C & alt mounting bracket like in fox bodied sixies have. Provides a nice shelf and with some additional support and/or brackets it might be installable there.

That´s the way it´s going to be. M90 to alt.-bracket (need to midify it) and a carb something like 80Stang said. Thanks to all for advises!

Anything is possible...

Good Luck

Thanks! Luck will be needed! :) I now have an Eaton m90 in my possession.. 8) Will a Holley 500cfm need mods to handle boost? If it does, what kind of mods?
