I wish I could give you some help but I really don't know I do like the info on the 6.5 turbo. That maybe worth trying. I'd like to see the boost start a little quicker and the 8 PSI at 2000. maybe the 5.9's would do this.

The other fella is running the 6.5 on a stock efi 300 with no fuel changes other than larger injectors, I would like to know what his air/fuel looks like even if if does run well. The boost starts at 1500 and peaks at 8 psi at 3000.

It depends on what turbo it is and hwo much hp you wanna make. If its the holset HX35 it should be good for 350-400hp or so, There are people running them on everything from a 2.3 4l all the way up to 302's. I would say for street it'd be ok boost would build up quick and low, but for 300+ cubes most people run larger turbos. I'm planning on putting one or two on a 273 mopar eventually because they are cheap and I would rather screw up two $100 turbos than two $750 ones. The real problem with holsets is that nobody has compressor maps, so you can't really say yes or no if they are gonna work. For $20 its probably gonna be clapped out too : ) probably for the best that you missed that one. If its an earlier one I don't know much about it.

generaly diesel turbos are designed different that turbos for gas engines. it may work but will not be the best suited for that engine. idealy you want to stick with "normal" turbos. find something with a t3 or a t4 exhaust flange. it will be easier and cheaper to upgrade later.

Since you are only gonna wanna really run oil lines, stay away from Mitsu turbos. Mitsu uses oil and coolant lines.
